Starkville Restaurant Week is here! From March 28 to April 3, restaurant and café owners of Starkville will be highlighting their food (perfect for student living in Starkville!). It’s a fantastic way to sample local eateries, all packed into one week, when everyone will be doing it.
But Starkville Restaurant Week is not only a chance to get great food. It’s a wonderful way to support local charities. Whenever you eat at a participating restaurant during the week, you will vote for your favorite of the Top 3 local charities, which were nominated by local citizens. At the end of Restaurant Week, the charity with the most votes wins. What do they win? A check for $5,000, donated by Cadence Bank.
The charities are Backpack Buddies, which provides weekend meals to schoolchildren who live in poverty; Vets for Vets, which provides care for dogs who served in the armed forces and is a project of MSU’s vet school; and Grassroots Animal Rescue, which rescues animals from euthanasia and mistreatment.
Check here for a list of all restaurants who are participating in Restaurant Week. Be sure to mention Restaurant Week when you talk to your server.
